A Picnic at Shade Winery

Miller's Chicken was open and so we thought, "Sure! Let's have a picnic at the winery." It didn't hurt that the weather had cooled off either. We went to Shade Winery for a tasting, a tour, and some general relaxation.

I was surprised at how nice it was and how much fun we had sitting in the sun chatting, drinking, and eating. I underestimated how great it is to have a local winery. It wasn't difficult to find a tasty beverage and some bottles to bring home.

We may have been the first group to roll in, but we were not the last. Try the Elderberry wine, I was surprised with it as well as with their other wines. We ate our lunch with a bottle of Riesling. What a treat!
